Ratchet & Clank are probably one of the most recognizable characters created by Sony. The duo has starred in quite a few games released during the course of the years on PS2, PS3 and PsVita.
Apparently all the already released games aren’t enough for Sony since the Japanese company is going to release a iOS shooter in the near future starring the crazy duo.
The game will be called Ratchet and Clank: Before the Nexus and it will be developed by the same team that has worked on the latest entries of the series.
Insomniac Games senior producer Greg Philips has confirmed that the game will be an endless runner game, where players will have to shoot anything that moves while moving through the game. More than running, players will be moving on rails but the game’s basics don’t really change because of this.
While moving in the game, Ratchet and Clank: Before the Nexus you will be able to collect bolts, which will be used to upgrade weapons and armors.
If you manage to get a high enough score, you will be able to sync it with your PSN account and the obtained Raritanium to upgrade the weapons and armors of the Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus game.
As of now a release date has yet to be revealed. The game should be released on November 12th on the App Store but pricing and more details are currently unknown.
