Star Command seems to be a nice space simulation when you begin the game. You will have to build your own ship, add rooms and recruit crew to keep everything running smoothly. Crewmembers working on specific areas are identified by the color of their outfit so that you know who to send in case of emergency. The same color scheme is used for the game’s currency, which is used to recruit new members, upgrade their equipment and more.

The main goal of the game is to defend your ship from internal and external attacks. Each unit type has a specific attack which can also be upgraded with tokens and experience point. The battling, unfortunately, is always the end result of each encounter with the enemy, even though the game offers you some dialogue choices which should have allowed you to negotiate with the enemy. The very limited choices of the game shallow the experience a bit, making it more suited for casual gamers.

Star Command is now available for purchase on the App Store for only $1.99. Even though the game may lack depth, it’s still entertaining enough to keep you busy for a long time.
