1. Follow the quests!

There’s a quest ticker at the top left corner of the screen. This will always show your main storyline quest, so if you’re ever unsure of what to do next, look towards your next story quest! These quests will take you down the general progression line, so you’ll always be keeping your kingdom up-to-date.

2. Keep your resource production buildings upgraded!

Your farms, mines, and townhouses will all produce resources for you over time. Your gold, food, and iron supplies will depends solely on these buildings, so make sure you keep them upgraded! When you upgrade them you increase their production rate and their maximum storage capacity.

3. Upgrade the warehouses and barns!

But all those resources won’t be any use if you don’t have a place for them to stay! Also make sure to keep your warehouses and barns upgraded. Barns increase your maximum storage capacity for food, while warehouses will keep your iron and gold safe.

4. Research the Lost Arts!

See that big tower with the blue glyph next to your castle? That’s the Lost Arts tower. You can research the fabled lost arts here, which acts like a skill tree. For each art you research, you’ll unlock a variety of bonuses, such as passive upgrades and new units. It goes without saying but you should always be progressing down the research tree so you get unlock more stuff. For example, the Battle Formations lost art increases the amount of maneuvers you have, which is all interactions with the outside world. You’ll be able to raid more, spy more, and reinforce more!

5. Keep valuable troops in the catacombs!

Since it’s incredibly pricey to revive your units, sometimes you’ll want to save them for a rainy day. After a couple quests, you’ll eventually unlock the catacombs. You can store a small amount of resources in here, but the main aspect is keeping units stored. When a unit is in the catacombs, it is completely protected from attack. This is a double-edged sword, of course. Putting too many of your units in the catacomb will leave your kingdom completely open to assault from other players, so be sure to balance it out!

6. Join a league!

Leagues are large groups of players working under one banner. Leagues can be very advantageous to you, as you can call upon other players if you get attacked by a random player that doesn’t belong to your league. Try joining one as soon as possible! You can also help each other out with resources.

That should be a good starting point for your kingdom. If you have any other questions or suggestions, leave a comment below!
