Strategic Boardgame UFHO2 Launching This Week On The App Store

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

A really, really fast paced boardgame is going to be released later this week on the App Store. The game is actually one that gamers should already know about, since it’s been funded with a successful Kickstarter Campaign back in 2012.

Tiny Colossus, the team behind UFHO2, has finally announced that the game will be available for purchase before the end of the week on the App Store. As expected, the game will only be playable on iPads, as there’s no way a boardgame could be played on smaller screens.

UFHO2 takes place on a 3D UFO, quite unsurprisingly, with several hexagonal rooms that can be rotated. The main goal of the game is to reach a gem which will determine who the winner is. Everything moves at a very high speed, with each turn lasting around 20 seconds. Thanks to the speed of the overall gameplay experience, UFHO2 is a real joy to play, as you won’t be spending too much time trying to accomplish anything concrete in the game.

UFHO2 also comes with several features like a story mode with ten planets, aliens to unlock and an endless multiplayer mode which can be played by four players on the same device.

UFHO2 will launch later this week on the App Store. The game is currently awaiting Apple’s approval.
