Strategy & Builds
Despite learning how to swim for the first time, the second princess of Múspell is no pushover. Laevatein has fantastically high ATK, making her a force to be reckoned with. She’s a dangerous unit to be around on the field, as she can one-hit KO a variety of units with her monstrous ATK. She can also hold her own with decent DEF and RES.
With that said, swimming can be difficult for some, and unfortunately this is the case with Laevatein, as her speed is absolutely dreadful. With an abysmally low growth rate of 25%, Laevatein’s SPD will never reach acceptable levels. She’ll have trouble landing follow-up attacks, and she’ll be in danger if she goes up against units that can take advantage of SPD differences. Try to activate Def/Res Link to give her some extra defense.
The best builds on her usually involve ignoring SPD altogether and just slapping as many ATK boosting things on her. Some players swap her weapon for weapons that take advantage of her high ATK, like Gronnblade+. Any special that scales off of any stat besides SPD is good for her as well, like Glacies or Bonfire.
If you’re not a fan of repositional Assists, you can swap out Def/Res Link for a more offensive-oriented passive, like Chill Res or Quick Riposte. This can give Laevatein a bit more versatility in the middle of combat.
