The game’s Official Japanese Twitter profile confirmed that update 9.0.2 is in the works and that it will be released soon in all regions.

The update notes haven’t been shared online as of now, but it’s pretty much confirmed that there will be fighters’ adjustments, as players are invited to save their replays in video format, as they will no longer work once the update has been released.

The previous Super Smash Bros. Ultimate update, update 9.0.1, released back in October following the launch of new DLC character Steve. The update changed the character’s win screen and fixed some rather game-breaking glitches, like one that allowed Steve to make characters fall through the floor in all game’s stages.

Steve from Minecraft is the latest DLC character to release for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The character is among the most unique fighters in the entire series, coming with mechanics that have been lifted straight from Minecraft that allowed the developers to go wild and come up with one of the most interesting fighting styles ever seen in any fighting game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide. The 9.0.2 update is launching on a yet to be confirmed release date.
