Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Next DLC Character Rumored To Be Crash Bandicoot

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is going to get its next DLC character, Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, next week, but this will not be the end of the additional content coming to the popular Nintendo Switch game, as a second Fighter Pass has been announced. While Masahiro Sakurai did not say much about the upcoming fighters, it seems like the first one of them will be Crash Bandicoot.

Twitter user MandyCan, who correctly revealed that Byleth would be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate back in October, also revealed that Crash Bandicoot will be the first character included in the second Fighter Pass. He recently reiterated that Crash will be coming to the game, but not else is going to be said about the matter.

While MadyCan may have taken a wild guess for Byleth, it was really difficult to predict that the character would be coming to Smash Ultimate. Still, until an official confirmation comes from Nintendo, we have to take this information with a grain of salt.

Byleth will be released for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate next week. The character will come with both its male and female forms and will feature a unique play style that will make use of the Relic Weapons seen in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Despite the unique playstyle, many are disappointed that yet another Fire Emblem character has been introduced in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in place of other more requested characters.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch.
