It has been some time since we heard anything new about the DLC fighters coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the future, but it seems like we are going to hear more about the matter very soon.
As reported on Twitter by @OnuaUlt, a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ad has been spotted in Japan. This ad, which shows Min Min and placeholder images for the other characters included in the second Fighter Pass, will be up until October 4th, hinting at the fact that the announcement is coming soon, and that the new character will be released by that day.
While the ad by itself does not confirm that the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character is getting announced soon, it is an indication that something is indeed brewing. Last year, similar ads were spotted in Japan before the announcements of Hero and Banjo-Kazooie, so the pattern is definitely there.
The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate second Fighter Pass includes six more characters that will be released for the game in the coming months. They will also be the final piece of content getting developed for the latest entry in the series, as confirmed a few months back by Masahiro Sakurai himself.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available on Nintendo Switch in all regions.
