Terraria is packed with a ton of craftable items that grant some advantage to the players in the game. Obsidian Armor is among one of them that consists of the Obsidian Outlaw Hat, Obsidian Longcoat, and the Obsidian Pants. However, this item doesn’t bestow any set bonus, meaning it doesn’t protect you against On Fire! or Burning debuffs.
Yet, many players want to craft the Obsidian Armor in Terraria, and here’s a dedicated article that outlines the same process.

How to get Obsidian Armor in Terraria
Players can obtain Obsidian Armor in Terraria by crafting 60 Obsidian, 30 Silk, and 20 Shadow Scales or Tissue Samples at Loom’s workshop. Upon wearing the Obsidian Armor, the entire set provides 31% summon damage, +1 minion slot, 35% whip speed, and 50% whip range.
As one might notice, Obsidian Armor is statistically similar to Gold armor if we overlook the latter’s set bonus. Moreover, it’s quite an intriguing fact that the other related items such as Obsidian skin potion and Obsidian skull do provide special protection against the On Fire! or Burning Debuffs.
The Obsidian Armor was introduced in Terraria’s 1.3.0.1 update. Later, it was heavily nerfed in the v1.4.1.2 for the Desktop players in which the minion damage bonus on the helmet and legs were reduced from 9% to 8% each. Additionally, the damage increase on the set bonus was nerfed as well from 25% to 15%.
