The 5 Cutest Demons in Shin Megami Tensei V

Even for being demons, Shin Megami Tensei has some of the most adorable designs of supernatural beings.

Most of the demons featured in the Shin Megami Tensei series never fall into the category of in-between, meaning they are either the cutest thing you’ve ever seen, or absolute nightmare fuel. For the cute ones, they are usually beloved by the fans. Here are the most adorable demons in Shin Megami Tensei V you’ll want to recruit that might leave you wondering if they truly deserve such a label.

Mothman

When one thinks of Mothman, they likely picture the lanky humanoid creature from the legend that was said to have terrified the people of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. However, this version couldn’t be farther from that. Redesigned with a small cartoony-like charm, this Mothman is closer to being that of Butterfree or Mothra. You can get one through Demon Fusion and as recruitable enemies in Shinagawa. You need to be level 29 to be able to get them on your side.

Jack Frost

When one thinks of Shin Megami Tensei, it’s hard not to think of the iconic Jack Frost and his little he-ho sounds. With a round head, bright colors, and a permanent smile, there’s a reason this mascot charms everyone. You can find them in the east section of Shinagawa as enemies available for recruitment, but must be level 25 in order to do so.

Chironnupu

No one can deny the charm of petite creatures with big heads and small bodies. When that said creature happens to be a fox, you get nothing less than something precious. Chironnupu plays the role of helping the player find the lost Miman, who are the minions of the shop owner Gustav you collect for rewards. Chironnupu become available through fusion when you reach level 27.

Hayataro

Every game needs its resident Good Boy, and look no further for that than Hayataro. This dog spirit has very little competition in the ways of fluff. Noble and pure, he will be happy to rally to your cause. Depending on the route you choose in the game, you may be able to unlock them for fusion.

Poltergeist

This otherwordly apparation is anything but scary. Spirits are just much cuter when they look like little floating plushies as opposed to invisible terrors. Based on its charming appearance, one probably would assume it was some kind of nature being as opposed to a ghost. They are recruitable at the Konan 3rd Block in Shinagawa once you reach level 25.
