The Good Life: How to Pass Time

The Good Life is among those role-playing games where NPCs have their own schedules, which force players to interact with them at certain hours of the day to purchase items, complete quests, and so on.

While time passes somewhat quickly in-game, there will be times where you will have to wait for an entire day to pass to be able to interact with certain characters, and waiting for time to pass naturally can become a little boring. Thankfully, The Good Life provides a very handy way of making time pass quickly. Here’s how to do it.

How to Pass Time in The Good Life

To pass time quickly in The Good Life, you will have to interact with the bed in Naomi’s house by pressing the B button while near it. Once you do, the game will ask you how much time you want to sleep between 3, 6, and 9 hours. While the options don’t allow you to pick an exact time when you will wake up, they are usually good enough to make time pass so that you can interact again with any character you have to.

Additionally, interacting with the bed will also allow you to save your game. The Good Life does feature an auto-saving mechanic that records your progress every short while, but it’s always best to make a manual save every now and then to make sure not too much progress is lost in case something bad happens. And who knows what may happen, in a town as mysterious as Rainy Woods.
