The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD: How to Complete the Missing Baby Rattle Side Quest

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD features a variety of side quests that are not mandatory to complete the game, but that provide Link with all sorts of rewards that can make the remainder of the adventure considerably easier. These side quests are also generally quite short, so there is really no good reason to skip them, even if you are not aiming for 100% completion.

Here’s how to complete the Missing Baby Rattle side quest.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Missing Baby Rattle Side Quest

The Missing Baby Rattle side quest becomes available as soon as you obtain the Clawshots. Once you do, you need to enter Bertie and Luv’s house, sleep on the bed and talk with Bertie at night. By doing so, you will be told that Bertie has been having trouble sleeping due to the baby keeping her awake. If Link were to find the missing baby rattle, Bertie would finally be able to get some much-needed sleep.

The baby rattle can be found in the eastern part of Skyloft, near the area with multiple floating islands. Find the island with the waterfall, get on it with the help of a Clawshot, locate the windmill and get on top of it by using the environment to your advantage. Once at the top of the windmill, use the Gust Bellows to remove the dust and find the baby rattle.

Return to Bertie with the baby rattle to complete the side quest and receive 5 Gratitude Crystals.
