The Outer Worlds promises to be a massive space role-playing game where players explore several different planets, get amazed by their marvels but also spooked by their dangers. All of the game will be set in the Halcyon solar system, which has been showcased in a fresh trailer for the game.
The latest The Outer Worlds trailer, which has been released in time for PAX West 2019 last weekend, welcomes players to Halcyon, providing an overview of its locations, its dangers and more. You can check out the trailer below.
The Outer Worlds has been originally announced at the E3 2019, during Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference. The game is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, which is now among Microsoft’s first part studios, and it seemed like the game would not come to other platforms.
The close relationship between Microsoft and Nintendo, however, made it so that this massive role-playing game will also come to Switch.
The Outer Worlds promises to be a challenge for the Nintendo Switch, but the port is in very good hands. The game is being developed by Virtuos, a development team that worked on L.A. Noire, Final Fantasy XII and Dark Souls Remastered, so they do know how to get the best out of the console.
Outside of obvious graphics downscaling, however, The Outer Worlds on Nintendo Switch will play the same it will on the other platforms, so those getting this version of the game will not be missing much.
The Outer Worlds will release on Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox One on a yet to be confirmed release date.
