The announcement of The Witcher 3 for Nintendo Switch was among the most surprising ones of the E3 2019, as many thought the game could not run on the console in any way.
CD Projekt RED and Saber Interactive, however, made the magic happen, and in two months players will be able to experience the game themselves.
During Gamescom Opening Night Live, it’s been confirmed that The Witcher 3 will be released on Nintendo Switch on October 15th in North America and on October 17th in Europe.
The retail version of the game will not require an additional download, as the 32 GB cartridge will include both main game and expansions.
Following the release date announcement, The Witcher 3 has become available for pre-order on the Nintendo Switch eShop. According to the listing, the game will require 28.1 GB of free storage space, which is hardly surprising, considering how big the game is.
The other versions of the game are much bigger, this is yet another miracle developer Saber Interactive managed to achieve.
The Nintendo Switch release of The Witcher 3 is the Complete Edition of the game. It will include the base game as well as the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions, which added new areas to the game as well as gameplay mechanics, quests and much more.
Minor DLC like additional costumes and weapons are also in, as they have been released for the other versions of the game for free.
The Witcher 3 launches on Nintendo Switch in October. The game is also available on PC as well as on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
