The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a new free-to-play mobile RPG with an AR system. This game allows the player to hunt down the monster for contracts as the real Witcher. These hunters have a lot of tricks in their sleeves, like special weapons and armor, magic signs, and of course alchemy.

Witchers are known for different stuff they can make from different ingredients. Some of them are monster remains, some are different roots and herbs. In the end, these may be turned into bombs, potions, or oils. This guide explains to you the last ones. We will talk about what kinds of oils are present in the game, which effects do they have, and how to prepare them.

Oils in The Witcher: Monster Slayer

First of all, we will explain to you what oil is. It is a specific type of substance that you can put on your sword to increase damage.

To craft oil, you will need to follow a few simple steps. Go to the Inventory tab and select Crafting. Then you can search for the desired substance. Important note: you can improve your oils’ effectiveness through special skills in the Alchemy skill branch.

In order to create oil, you will need to use some ingredients. You can obtain these in different ways. Now let’s take a look at all oils. Here is the list of them, with their effect, demanded ingredients, and time to craft described:

  • Basic Oil – 20 minutes to craft – Powdered monster tissue (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3) – Increases Melee Damage by 33%
  • Cursed Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Vampire remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Cursed by 100%
  • Draconid Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Necrophage remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Draconids by 100%
  • Elemental Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Hybrid remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Elementals by 100%
  • Hybrid Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Ogroid remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Hybrids by 100%
  • Insectoid Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Specter remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Insectoids by 100%
  • Necrophage Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Cursed remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Necrophage by 100%
  • Ogroid Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Draconid remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Ogroids by 100%
  • Relict Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Elemental remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Relicts by 100%
  • Specter Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Relict remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Specters by 100%
  • Vampire Oil – 60 minutes to craft – Insectoid remains (x5), Bundle of Herms (x3), Root (x2) – Increases Melee Damage dealt against Vampires by 100%
