The Witcher: Monster Slayer- How to Get Mushrooms

The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a brand new RPG using augmented reality where you can fight beasts in your own backyard. The game is full of quests and battles, potions to make and weapons to create so there is never a dull moment.

One of the quests involves a time-limited Mushroom Hunt and some players are having difficulties completing it in time. The quest begins when you come across an eccentric man who gives you the quest of The Great Shrooming and marks your map with your next destination- a meeting with the Mayor of Darach Dearg.

The deal is you must gather as many mushrooms as you can in 24 hours and the one with the most mushrooms wins “eternal glory, the honourable title of champion, and gold.” On your travels you come across Emlyn, Champion ‘Shroomer five years in a row, and save her from a couple of Nekkers (water devils). She gratefully offers to show you a good spot for mushroom picking and puts it on your map, but warns you that it is Leshen (forest spirit) territory- so it may be dangerous!

As you continue to gather mushrooms and your shroom collection grows you may find a few surprises along your journey… If you encounter any glitches or bugs the community have advised that players turn on the AR to examine certain creatures and the quest should continue.

The mushroom appears with a little question mark above it

Players will need at least 165 ‘shrooms to win first place. As long as the quest is active you will be able to find a few mushrooms every 100 metres or so on your travels. If you are having trouble finding any it may be worth going to a different area- just remember to stay safe, and always keep an eye on your surroundings.
