The Witcher: Monster Slayer- How to Land a Critical Hit

Welcome, Witcher… It is time to go on an adventure and slay any monsters that come across your path and this takes some skill. The Witcher: Monster Slayer is an all-new free-to-play RPG with augmented reality, similar to Pokemon Go but with dark foes to defeat instead of Pokemon to catch.

As you journey through your world you come across monsters to slay, and to do so you need the experience and skill of a true Witcher. One of these skills is performing the perfect critical hit during a battle. You learn the basics of a critical hit move in the tutorial where it shows you that you must tap when the circles overlap.

Each monster is weak to either strong or fast hits- strong hits are slow steady swipes, and fast hits are quick swipes. If you can chain the right swipes without getting hit by the monster, and fill the yellow bar above their health bar you have the opportunity to perform a critical hit.

Players must tap the screen when the white circle overlaps with the empty circle on screen. This performs the critical hit and gives you a speed boost- helping you finish off that monster in good time. These critical hits become vitally important as you begin to face more ferocious monsters on your travels.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer is available on iOS and Android.
