With over 1000 skins in Fortnite, there are bound to be some more popular than others, and some we just haven’t seen much since their first release. The best-selling skins are reportedly the sports skins—soccer and NFL—which won’t come as a surprise to anyone who has faced a squad of these often sweaty players!
However, there are some skins that we just don’t see very often since their release. These can include skins which were only available to those who purchased a Battle Pass for that season, or ones that didn’t return to the Fortnite Shop. Find out below which are the 5 most rare skins in Fortnite right now.
Top 5 Most Rare Fortnite Skins in 2021
5. The Black Knight
This skin is rare because it was only available to unlock if you bought the first Battle Pass in Chapter 1 Season 2. It was the reward for reaching level 70 which, back in 2017 when this season was released, was a pretty big deal! If you see a Black Knight while playing, they are definitely an OG Fortnite player.
4. Special Forces
This skin was first seen all the way back in Chapter 1 Season 1, and last seen in 2019. If it ever shows up in the Item Shop again, you could purchase him for 1,200 V Bucks. If you want to be seen in a pretty rare skin, this would be a good purchase!
3. Galaxy
This skin is especially rare due to it being an exclusive for Samsung Galaxy mobile users, and only those with a Note 9 or Tab S4. Samsung had a partnership with Epic when they first launched Fortnite Mobile, and this skin was part of a limited-time offer. It is extremely unlikely we will ever see it in the Item Shop.
2. Renegade Rider
One of the first skins available is this rare Renegade Rider skin. She was 1,200 V Bucks, but players also had to reach level 20 to purchase her. It is doubtful that she will make it back to the Item Shop, and to be fair, she probably shouldn’t. If you see someone playing with this skin, you can be assured they have been a fan of Fortnite from the very start. It is considered one of the rarest skins out there, only to be out-ranked by the guy below.
1. Aerial Assault Trooper
Just like the iconic Renegade Rider above, Aerial Assault Trooper appeared before Fortnite introduced a Battle Pass. He was in the Item Shop for 1,200 V Bucks, and players had to reach level 15 before getting him. He turned out to just not be as popular as Renegade Rider—hence his higher position in the chart of most rare Fortnite skins.
