Walhart’s Strengths and Weaknesses

Walhart is a Green Axe Cavalry unit. He is strong against Blue units, but weak to Red units. As a Cavalry unit, he can move around the map quickly.

Stats

Walhart at 5-stars at max level will have the following stats, with growth percentage listed in parentheses.

  • HP: 37/41/44 (50%)
  • ATK: 34/37/40 (60%)
  • SPD: 23/27/30 (50%)
  • DEF: 33/36/39 (65%)
  • RES: 12/16/19 (30%)
  • Overall: 156-157

Weapon

  • Wolf Berg: Grants Def+3. If the number of foes within 2 spaces (excluding target) ≥ the number of allies within 2 spaces (excluding unit), grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 during combat.
    • Weapon Refinery Upgrade: Grants Def+3. At start of turn, if unit is within 4 spaces of a foe, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+6 for 1 turn. If unit initiates combat or unit is not adjacent to an ally, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 during combat. At start of turn, inflicts Atk/Def-7 on foes within 4 spaces for 1 turn and inflicts status on those foes preventing counterattacks through their next actions. At start of combat, if foe’s HP ≥ 75%, inflicts Atk/Def-5 on foe during combat.

Specials

  • Luna: Treats foe’s Def/Res as if reduced by 50% during combat.

Passives

  • Grani’s Shield (A): Neutralizes “effective against cavalry” bonuses.
  • Chill DEF 1-3 (B): The enemy unit with the highest DEF loses a significant amount of DEF at the start of the turn.

Strategy

If you didn’t get it from his portrait picture, Walhart is a scary presence to behold, especially when he’s learned all of his skills and Wolf Berg is fully upgraded. Walhart is the definition of a one-man army, as he grows stronger when outnumbered.

As such, Walhart’s greatest strength lies in his ability to charge into battle as a lone wolf and come out unscathed. To get the most out of Wolf Berg, make sure that there are more enemies than allies around Walhart for a big stat boost. This stat boost can be enhanced if you upgrade Wolf Berg, and it becomes an absolute beast. Essentially, keep Walhart surrounded by multiple foes at all times to make him stronger.

With Luna and Chill DEF, most enemies are usually dead before they even have a chance to attack Walhart. Grani’s Shield will also protect against any attacks that are effective against Cavalry. Though, keep in mind that Walhart’s natural RES is pretty low, so if he’s not getting his Wolf Berg buffs, he may be susceptible to magic attacks.

That concludes our guide on Walhart’s strengths and weaknesses in Fire Emblem Heroes. If you have any other tips or tricks to share, let us know in the comments below!
