There are many different characters to play in Warframe. Some of them control elements like fire or ice while other ones possess skills with more specific effects. However, today we are going to tell you about one of the most unique Warframes in the game. The one that controls the Infestation itself. This guide will explain to you how to get Nidus in Warframe and how to create the best build for him.
How to Get Nidus in Warframe
Nidus in Warframe is not easy to get. The main blueprint for it will be your reward for completing The Glast Gambit quest. Also, you can buy another copy from Cephalon Simaris if you do something to your first blueprint.
The blueprints for other components can be found on the Oestrus mission on Eris. It is an Infested Salvage game mode which is quite rare. However, you will need to reach the Rotation C to have a chance to obtain one of three blueprints for Nidus components.
In case you don’t want to waste your time on these missions you can go the other way. The upgraded Prime version of Nidus has just been released and you can get them from void relics. It appears to be a much easier way to obtain this Warframe’s upgraded variation. Also, it provides you with additional rewards from relics.

Nidus Best Build in Warframe
Nidus is not a difficult Warframe to build. Its third and fourth abilities don’t spend your energy at all while the first one has an energy refund mechanic. So, you shouldn’t care about the Efficiency stat and you can make it as low as possible. Also, Nudus’ abilities have decent basic Durations so you can sacrifice this stat if you need to do so. Just try to keep it above 70%.
Giving the fact that this Warframe’s abilities don’t need much Efficiency and Duration you can focus on Strength and Range maximization. This will make your Nidus an immortal killing machine. The best mods for him are next:
- Growing Power as an aura mod
- Blind Rage
- Rage (you can replace it with Hunter Adrenaline)
- Overextended
- Stretch
- Transient Fortitude
- Intensity
- Vitality
- Primed Flow
The main strategy requires you to keep a decent amount of mutation stacks so you will be able to survive fatal damage. Also, you can put Umbra mods in your build if you want them. If you want to improve your primary weapon’s damage, you can put the Teeming Virulence augment mod which is going to increase your Crit chance when you hit 4 enemies with the first skill.
