Warhammer 40K: Darktide – How to Fix Crashing Issues

While we await the global release, here's how to fix crashing issues in Warhammer 40k: Darktide pre-order beta.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide is a brand new First-person shooter and Adventure game that was released in pre-order beta on November 18 and is set in the popular Warhammer 40,000 universe where players can enjoy lots of different maps, weapons and interesting characters that’ll make them revisit the dangerous Warhammer universe over and over again.

Players who pre-ordered the game before its official launch can now access the beta and send feedback to the game’s developers before it is released globally. These players will also enjoy new content within the game two weeks after the beta. For now, however, here’s how to fix the crashing issues in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide – How to Fix Crashing Issues

Before moving on to how you can try to fix these crash issues, we have to say that like pretty much every new game, problems are bound to happen. From crashes to connection issues. So if you’re facing such problems, we advise exercising patience as this is only a beta and the developers will most likely flush such issues when the game launches globally.

With that said, the first thing you ought to try in fixing the crashing issues is to make sure your PC meets the game’s minimum requirements. If you’re playing on a PC that doesn’t quite meet those requirements, crashing or force closing is inevitable as the game will prove too powerful for your PC to handle.

And even if your PC meets the minimum requirements, allow us to reinstate that it is not the recommended requirements and you might still encounter stability problems running Warhammer 40K: Darktide on it. So if you’re running on minimum requirements, do ensure you reduce the graphics/video settings to as low as you can enjoy playing the game.

And if it’s a game you really want to play and enjoy to the fullest, then consider upgrading your PC to one that meets the recommended requirements to run Warhammer 40K: Darktide. If you’re not quite ready for that and prefer to run it on a PC that meets the minimum requirements, then be sure to enable DLSS or FidelityFX from the settings.

You can also try verifying the integrity of your game files on Steam by right-clicking on Warhammer 40K: Darktide in your library, clicking Properties, navigating to local files, and then verifying integrity. If that doesn’t work, then you’ll have to submit a crash report to the developers, which is really the last resort for now.
