The developers recently revealed that the Go Battle League will have an interval Season, during which they will tune the game to get rid of bugs. What Does a Battle Ticket do in Pokémon GO

The Battle ticket is a free Pokemon Go Shop item that will allow you to take part in the new Battle Timed Research, which follows your progress in the Go Battle League and awards you with Stardust. You can claim your free Battle ticket by heading over to the in-game Shop and scrolling down past the event boxes.

Once the item is claimed, the Battle Timed Research will be available in the Today View area. There will be a total of seven tasks, and each offer you a certain amount of Stardust upon completion.

The Battle Timed Research quest started on March 1 and will come to an end on June 1, 2022, meaning you will have three months to battle it out in the Go Battle League to collect all of the Stardust.
