Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have a bunch of new and exciting features for players both old and new. And while some of these new features are ones that we’ve seen in previous mainline games in the Pokémon series, the developers have altered things a bit to make them more interesting.
From Pokémon variations, items, shops and even signs on maps, there’s a lot to learn in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. But in this article, we’ll be explaining what does Cheugy mean in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
What Does Cheugy Mean In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Answered
Cheugy in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet simply means trying too hard, uncool or even outdated. It’s a phrase Gen Z coined for ages and is used to test a player’s vocabulary in the game as they’ll be plenty of adventures awaiting players.
However, Cheugy is popularly used as a way to describe people who are “trying too hard”, a lot harder than they need to, making them uncool. So if you get to the point where Director Clavell asks the meaning of Cheugy, players will be presented with the following options:
- Something super cool.
- Being outdated and uncool.
- A really chewy gumball.
The answer is the second option “Being outdated and uncool”, even though a lot of players may be inclined to pick the third option hence the name. So now that you know the answer, go ahead and let the director in on the secret which will enable him to act cool in the presence of young and aspiring trainers.
The world of Paldea in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is vast and throughout your adventures, you’ll encounter many NPCs (Non-Player characters) that will ask you various questions, including Director Clavell whose question we’ve just covered.
Most of their questions will be tricky like this one but remember you can always come back and check out more of our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet guides to help you get around Paldea and its fascinating characters.
