Anger Meter

Angry Birds Journey’s core gameplay is about the same as its predecessors, along with some new features. One of them is the introduction of the Anger meter.

The Anger meter is a feature that is added to the game upon completion of level 10. As the player plays through levels past 10, they will notice a certain meter fill up as time passes whenever they destroy any bricks or take down pigs. Once the build-up for the meter is complete and it reaches full capacity, the player can activate it to give their current bird a considerable boost of strength for their next move.

This boost can be particularly useful as a finishing move. There are a lot of situations where players are stuck in tight spots with no hope of clearing the level. That’s where the anger meter tends to shine the most.

Setbacks and benefits

As powerful as the Anger meter mechanic is, there is one major drawback to it. It can only be activated once after it is filled up. But do not despair, because the game gives the player ways to fill up the meter faster so it can be used more effectively!

Generally, the fewer birds that a player uses will help fill up the meter faster. Also, the destruction of towers will add to the multiplier, and actually finishing a level with one bird can even double that bonus, leading to a lot of destruction and chaos for the evil pigs!
