Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has many extracurricular activities to join in with including sports and clubs. One of these clubs is the Dragon Club, founded by Margaretta Ironbark before Dumbledore even attended the school! You will be offered the chance to join one of the three Clubs in school in Chapter 3 of Year 1, and when you reach Chapter 4 of Year 5, and you are told about the Tournament of Clubs, and are encouraged to start a tournament yourself.
Dragon Club in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery
Students are all given the option to join a group of their choice in Year 1, Chapter 3. Joining a club opens up new dialogue, introduces you to new characters, and new gameplay. You can even earn extra XP while in class if you have joined a group! These clubs are:
- Dragon Club (yellow icon) for adventurous students
- Sphinx Club (purple icon) for students who seek wisdom
- Hippogriff Club (green icon) for those who love animals
As you progress in class, and in the game, you also get to rank up the clubs you have joined, which can reward you with all sorts of resources and XP. Increasing the rank of each club actually decorates the clubhouse, putting furniture and decor in each area. Some of these artefacts placed in the rooms can be tapped and will give you bonus resources and XP!
In Dragon Club you earn experience by going to classes in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Flying lessons, duelling, and Quidditch. You can also earn experience by drinking Butterbeer with a friend. Keep an eye on your daily tasks too as these can offer more opportunities to earn experience in each club.
In Year 5, when you reach Chapter 4, you have the chance to begin the adventure of the Tournament of Clubs in which you must convince members of each club to join in with a competition between the school clubs. The tournament challenge has a time limited of 3 days and 19 hours.
When you ask Dragon Club to join the tournament you will get extra dialogue options if you have joined the club previously. This adds an extra dimension to the gameplay, which is exciting!
It is entirely up to you if you join Dragon Club but it is definitely worth it for the extra XP, and the quests involved. You can join more than one club too, so don’t think you are restricted to just one choice!
Good luck!
