What Does the Tornado Do in Clash Royale

Tornado is an Epic rarity spell card in Clash Royale that can be unlocked from Legendary Arena (Arena 15) and costs 3 Elixir to deploy. There are three types of cards in Clash Royale – troop, spell and buildings, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. The Tornado card has been in the game since the early days and is largely inspired by the Tornado Trap found in Clash of Clans. But what does the Tornado do in Clash Royale?

What Does the Tornado Do in Clash Royale

The Tornado card in Clash Royale is used to pull your enemy’s troops backward or to the center, preventing them from attacking your crown tower. The Tornado’s pull strength also relies on the mass of a unit, for example, the Hog Rider or Mini P.E.K.K.A. are relatively light, so the Tornado will move them further than say, a Valkyrie or Golem.

The Tornado has the largest area of impact in Clash Royale, with a radius of 5.5 tiles, making it the only spell that can affect all 3 Crown Towers at once. You can also use the Tornado to activate your King’s Tower, allowing extra defense against future enemy attacks. The Tornado can even pull a Giant Skeleton away from one’s Princess Tower at the last second so that its death bomb does no damage to the Tower.
