Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released last month after much fanfare and hype. It is the latest installment in the Pokémon series and takes a much different turn than its predecessors do in terms of storytelling and game mechanics.
The game takes place in the ancient Hisui region, which would become modern-day Sinnoh. Fighting and capturing Pokémon is drastically different with battles taking place on the overworld instead of turn-based instance battles, as was the staple of the series thus far.
One feature that was added to the Pokémon franchise, which is honestly a staple of most other classic RPG/JRPGs, is the addition of side quests or, as they are known in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, simply requests.
What are Requests?
Requests are the side quest system of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. As in most RPG games, the purpose of side quests is to provide the players with additional resources to scale well when the late game content comes along.
There are a total of 94 Requests in the game (90 from the base game and 4 off the save files from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Sword and Shield), each ranging from simple tasks like finding certain Pokémon or items, all the way up to challenging battles!
The incentive to finish all of these requests are a bunch of valuable rewards. How valuable, you ask?
Completing all Requests

Completing these requests can net the player a variety of items and money. These items can range from different types of Pokéballs to healing items to even different types of EXP Candy!
While the gold rewards are pretty great too, the fairly easy access to rarer items that the player would not generally come by is the greatest reward. These items can save players in a clutch situation via the recovery items or even power-level weaker Pokémon in the player’s party!
Unfortunately, there is no grand end-game reward for completing all of the 94 Requests, but your Pokémon will definitely thank you for taking care of them with all of the rewards you gained along the way!
