In Minecraft, you can also create various projects that can serve not only as a map to play with friends but also for educational purposes. Moreover, having spent enough time and effort, you can create even social projects in Minecraft.
And Blockworks, Reporters Without Borders, DDB, and MediaMonks united for one such project. They wanted to create a huge virtual Library in Minecraft and dedicate it to freedom of the press. This Library contains various articles and journals that are banned in several countries due to censorship.
For building this Library, 24 builders from 16 countries were invited. Inside, players will be able to find a lot of information about 180 countries in the press freedom index. Moreover, it has 5 special rooms dedicated to Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Mexico, Vietnam, and Russia. They are special because each of them has very strict censorship of the press. And players from any part of the world will be able to visit it since this Library is hosted on a server. Also, its map can be downloaded and explored in single-player mode.
