Pokémon Quest is a free-to-play action-adventure game in the Pokémon series developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. It was released for the Nintendo Switch in May 2018 and for Android and iOS in June 2018. Within a week of its release, it had reached over 7.5 million downloads.
With a cube-shaped art style, Pokémon Quest is unlike any other Pokémon game released before. The simple gameplay makes it easy to hop into expeditions and start exploring Tumblecube Island with the help of Pokémon buddies!
One of the fan-favorite Pokémon since the Kanto Region has been Charmander. This fiery salamander has been a staple fan-favorite since Gen 1 and makes a strong showing in Pokémon Quest.
Charmander
Charmander is a Generation 1 Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Red and Blue. It is a Fire-type Pokémon and has been popular since it was released. It was the most picked Starter Pokémon amongst fans of the original games, and with good reason!
In Pokémon Quest, Charmander is just as fierce. Acquiring one of them can be done using any of these two recipes:
- Red Stew a la Cube
- Hot Pot a la Cube
Any of these would work, but for the best success rate, we recommend going for the Hot Pot a la Cube using 2 Apricorns and 3 Tiny Mushrooms.
Once Charmander is acquired, the next thing to know is how to evolve it.
Charmander Evolution
In Pokémon Quest, Charmander follows the same evolutionary rules as it does in the mainline Pokémon games. In fact, all the player has to do here is to get Charmander to level 16 and it will evolve into its next stage, Charmeleon.
Following this, Charmeleon has to then be raised up to level 36 for yet another evolution, and that is the fan-favorite Charizard!
Charizard is a Fire/Flying-type Pokémon and extremely strong in all facets of the game. With great base stats and a varied move pool to depend on, Charizard would perfectly fit any lineup the player chooses!
