What Modes Are Available in Chocobo GP

Chocobo GP features six different play modes – Story Mode, Chocobo GP, Time Attack, Series Races, Custom Race, and Multiplayer.

  • Story Mode is the main Chocobo GP play mode. In this single player mode, you will race on different tracks to unlock additional characters.
  • Chocobo GP is one of the game’s online multiplayer modes. In this mode, up to 64 players compete online to become champion, and only the first four players in a set race will move to the next round.
  • Time Attack mode is a classic racing game play mode where you will have to complete a race as quickly as possible. This mode also allows you to upload ghost data of your fastest runs, or from other players.
  • Series Races is a unique play mode where players can take part in different race series made up of four different tracks. Other players can join in the fun locally with a single Joy-Con.
  • Custom Race is a single player and local multiplayer mode where it’s the player that decides the rules. In this mode, it is possible to change the number of races, difficulty, type of magicite available, and more.
  • Multiplayer, as the name implies, allows players to enjoy the game with others both online and offline. Up to eight players can play the game locally, but only with multiple consoles.
