Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX

What’s Breeder Rank in Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX

While the two games included in the Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX collection could feel a little directionless, as your main focus should be to train the strongest possible monsters to win fights, the two classic games actually have a decent progression system that unlocks more features and content the more milestones the player reaches.

Progression in both games is indicated by Breeder Rank. Here’s everything you need to know about it and how to raise it.

How to Raise Breeder Rank in Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX

Breeder Rank in Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX indicates your current progress in the game, and the higher it is, the further you are in the game. It’s basically the level of recognition the Monster Association awards you at any given time, so the more things you manage to accomplish, the higher your Breeder Rank will be.

In both Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX, your Breeder Rank will increase when you win an Official Tourney, so you will rank up naturally as you play the games and win the most important fights. A high Breeder Rank in Monster Rancher 2 DX also lets you access more Monster Breeds that can help you win more difficult fights.

While increasing your Breeder Rank in Monster Rancher 1 DX is quite straightforward, things do get a little more complex in Monster Rancher 2 DX once you reach a certain rank. Below, you can find the conditions for attaining each rank, including Master Rank.
