Monster Hunter Now offers three different biomes, Forest, Desert and Swamp, each with unique monster spawns, vegetation and other things. The biomes in the game have a fixed rotation, as they change automatically after a specific time to ensure players can experience all biomes.

But since monster catching is at the centre of the gameplay and monsters and many important item spawns depend on the biomes, many players want to learn when Monster Hunter Now biomes change, the exact time so that they can be ready for the monster catching.

The biomes in Monster Hunter Now change at 12:00 am UTC. So, to change the current biome in the game, you must either wait until midnight or change the timezone and time to change it forcefully.

That being said, here are the biome change times for some of the major regions:

  • PST (UTC-8) – 4:00 pm
  • MST (UTC-7) – 5:00 pm
  • CST (UTC-6) – 6:00 pm
  • EST (UTC-5) – 7:00 pm

Remember, biomes in Monster Hunter Now also depend on your area, so whenever you want to switch biomes, an alternative would be moving to a different location than you were before. Doing so will change the biome and spawn the monsters, vegetation, and other things specific to that biome.

You can check the biome details on the top left corner of the game screen to identify the current biome and the different things it has to offer. Meanwhile, you can even identify it based on the map colour, as green terrain represents the Forest biome, the sandy terrain represents the Desert biome, and the brown and greyish terrain represents the Swamp biome.

That concludes our guide on when does Monster Hunter Now biomes change. While you are here, check out our guide on how to use Lock On in Monster Hunter Now. For more on the game, check out our dedicated Monster Hunter Now section
