When does Minecraft Bedrock 1.18 Release?

Minecraft is a critically acclaimed and commercially successful open-world sandbox roleplaying game available across multiple platforms. It’s not only a multiplatform game, but it also offers different versions that players can buy/download/play.

Among the many editions, we have the Minecraft Bedrock Edition, which will get its third major update, version 1.18, called Cave Update, in the coming months. 

In this Minecraft guide, we will talk about the Minecraft Bedrock 1.18 release date and some of the additions and changes that are taking place. 

When does Minecraft Bedrock 1.18 Release?

Minecraft Bedrock 1.18 Cave update release is planned for the month of November-December 2021. But according to some in the community, the Cave update will release on December 31, 2021.

Keep in mind, the release date of the update depends on the developers. If the update is not ready, they may extend its release. 

Minecraft 1.18 Bedrock Edition Major Additions

Here are a few new additions coming with Minecraft Bedrock 1.18 update. 

• New biome, Mountains – Offers six sub-biomes
  • Meadow
  • Grove
  • Snowy Slopes
  • Jagged Peaks
  • Frozen Peaks
  • Stony Peaks
• Ore veins
  • Long and rare ore formations.
  • Copper ore veins mixed with granite and blocks of raw copper generate above Y=0.
  • Iron ore veins mixed with tuff and blocks of raw iron generate below Y=0.
• Music Disc
  • Added a new music disc from Lena Raine titled “otherside”.
  • Can be found on rare occasions in stronghold corridor chests, or much more rarely in dungeon chests.
  • Has a blue and green color to the ring area of the disc.
