When Does Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Release on Nintendo Switch?

On March 15, Capcom hosted a new Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak digital event where all the latest information on the expansion has been revealed.

During the digital event, not only did Capcom provide a new look at the Citadel, the Elgado outpost, and the three Lords – Garangolm, Lunagaron, and Elder Dragon Malzeno, but it has also been confirmed that the expansion will release on June 30 worldwide on Nintendo Switch. PC and Steam Deck players will not be left behind this time around, as the expansion will release for the Steam version of the game on the same day. Three new amiibo will release on the same day as well, which will allow players to obtain some special armor sets.

Before you can play the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak expansion, however, you will have to download a 13 GB big update, which will be mandatory for online play even if you are not going to purchase the expansion. Additionally, you will need to complete the Serpent: Goddess of Thunder quest and see the game’s ending to access the expansion’s content.
