The Pokemon Company are spoiling us this year with many exciting announcements including new Pokemon games and a special edition Nintendo Lite. The latest announcement has promised fans and gamers the all-new Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
The first ever open world game from Pokemon is set for release on January 28th 2022 and will be set in the Sinnoh regions. Players may recognise Sinnoh as the same regions as we have seen in Diamond and Pearl, proving to be an exciting concept!
The Pokemon Company Chief Operating Officer, Takato Utsunomiya, has said in a statement: “Pokemon Legends: Arceus represents a new approach for the Pokemon video game series. Development is in full swing at Game Freak, with the aim to deliver a gaming experience that delivers new ground for the Pokemon series.”

Players will explore a vast and expansive landscape and help to create the region’s first ever Pokedex. The game is pushing forward in a “bold new direction” according to the company, and players will be happy to know that although it will be a fresh new take on the Pokemon series, it will still stay true to its core values, and to its hardcore fans.
