One of the main quests in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is to help Impa investigate the mystery behind the geoglyphs, strange landmarks that popped up after the Upheaval. This quest is pretty long, and after you view all the Dragon’s Tear memories, Impa will run off. So, where is Impa after the Dragon’s Tears quest in Tears of the Kingdom?
Locating Impa after finishing the Dragon’s Tears quest in Tears of the Kingdom
Please note that “The Dragon’s Tears” quest is directly related to the overarching plot of Tears of the Kingdom, and seeing the quest to its end requires you to get through a significant portion of the main story. As such, there will be spoilers ahead.
The Dragon’s Tears quest is a long journey that serves the same purpose as the memories in Breath of the Wild, as they reveal what has transpired since Link and Zelda’s separation. As such, Impa is heavily invested in researching the geoglyphs, as it may provide a clue to Zelda’s whereabouts.

There are exactly eleven geoglyphs to investigate, and after you view the memories associated with each one, you have to reconvene with Impa at the Forgotten Temple. Once you talk to her there, Impa tells you that she is finally going back to Kakariko Village to analyze her findings.
However, depending on where you are at on the main story quest line, Impa may not show up there. It is only until you get very close to the end of the game that she finally shows up in Kakariko Village. Specifically, you need to have gotten up to the point where “Destroy Ganondorf” becomes your main story quest.
Before you dive into the depths to seal Ganondorf once and for all, go back to the chief’s hut in Kakariko Village. Impa should now be in the attic, where you can speak with her and conclude your findings.
