If you think that having your personal army of little spiders is dope and you’re also a fan of Baldur’s Gate 3, we have some good news for you. While there are many items that are just clutter in this huge game, there are some that you shouldn’t discard so easily—even though you might not understand initially what their basic purpose is.
That applies to a Spider’s Egg Sac in particular. You may encounter this item by chance while exploring. However, if you still haven’t found it and you want it for what it does, this is the article for you. Where to Find Spider’s Egg Sac in Baldur’s Gate 3
To find Spider’s Egg Sac in Baldur’s Gate 3, you should head to these approximate coordinates—X: 155, Y: 373. This location is in the Forest, somewhere halfway between Blighted Village and Silvanus’ Grove. However, to reach the spot with Spider’s Egg Sac, you will have to climb some cliffs and go up the wooden ladder. For a more precise location, check out the map below.
Once you get to the top, you will be able to interact with the Rocky Crevice nestled between two boulders if you pass the perception check. In case you can’t pass it due to low Wisdom stats, use another party member—for example, Shadowheart.
After that initial check, you will be able to inspect the crevice in more detail and notice a pouch covered in spiders. However, to claim it (and the Spider’s Egg Sac hidden inside), you will need to go through more checks:
- NATURE: Survey the spiders (Intelligence check)
- ANIMAL HANDLING: Speak softly to the spiders in hopes of calming them (Wisdom check) or SLIGHT OF HAND: Dart your hand in, hoping to snatch the bag (Dexterity check)
Again, if your custom character doesn’t meet the criteria, use other members of your team.
When you acquire the pouch, you will find it in your inventory, and it contains the Spider’s Egg Sac and some coins. Remove the sac from the pouch, right-click on it, and choose Drop Item. When it’s on the ground, you will need to use any type of attack on it to release a group of spiders. We recommend ranged attacks as the sack explodes. Those spiders will follow you and attack your enemies, but they will disappear after a long rest.
We hope you have fun with your little spider army as you continue your adventures in Baldur’s Gate 3. For more assistance with this game, check out more of our guides in the dedicated Baldur’s Gate 3 section here on TouchTapPlay!
