Where to find Spiders in Hogwarts Legacy

If you are looking to farm Spider Fang for crafting the Maxima Potion, we recommend you start with the East North Hogwarts Region Floo Flame teleport waypoint. You will find a Spider Layer a little north of the Floo Flame.

After clearing the said lair, you can make your way into the deeper sections of the Forbidden Forest to clear more Spider Lairs.
How to defeat Spiders in Hogwarts Legacy
Depending on the Spider type, there are different ways to defeat Spiders in Hogwarts Legacy. You can kill the small ones using your basic attack. You can defeat the medium-size ones, the Thornback Scurriour, by using Levioso > three basic attacks > Accio > Incendio.

However, when you are dealing with Thornback Matriarch, Levioso will not work, and Accio will have a very minimal effect. So you must use Accio when you are a little closer to the Thornback Matriarch, then use Incendio to deal damage and stagger the enemy, and finally finish them off with regular attacks, repeating the process if needed.
