Also found all over the Lands Between are Evergaols, special locations that give access to optional boss battles. Defeating these powerful bosses will allow you to unlock more armaments, Incantations, Sorceries, and more, so you will want to defeat them as soon as possible to expand your combat options.

Among the earliest Evergaols available in Elden Ring is the Forlorn Hound Evergaol. Here’s where to find it.

Where to Find the Forlorn Hound Evergaol in Elden Ring on Steam Deck

The Forlorn Hound Evergaol can be found in the southern part of Limgrave, the very first region of the Lands Between you will explore after your awakening as a Tarnished. The Evergaol is almost on the border with the Weeping Peninsula, as shown on the map below.

The Bloodhound Knight Darriwil is the enemy you will fight inside the Forlorn Hound Evergaol. He is definitely a challenging boss to defeat, but basic knowledge of the game’s mechanics and a solid build can make this fight easier. Upon defeat, the boss will drop 1,900 Runes and the Bloodhound’s Fang, a Curved Greatsword that requires 18 Strength and 17 Dex to be used to its full potential.
