Clash of Clans is a free-to-play mobile strategy video game developed and published by Finnish game developer Supercell. The game was released for iOS platforms on August 2, 2012, and on Google Play for Android on October 7, 2013. The game is set in a fantasy-themed persistent world where the player is a chief of a village.

Books

Books are a type of Magic Item in Clash of Clans. Their purpose is to instantly finish upgrades. Different types of upgrades are handled by different kinds of books.

There are a variety of books available in Clash of Clans:

• Book of Everything

Players are allowed to carry one book of each type on their person at any time. Each one of them is used for a different purpose in the game, as will be listed below.

Acquiring Books

Books can be purchased from the Shop. They tend to appear randomly and can be acquired by spending real money on Special Packs.

Books also tend to appear occasionally at the Daily Discounts Barracks, though here, the player can use gems to purchase them.

In some cases, the player does not even need to spend money or gems because they can be acquired as rewards from Clan Games and other Special Events.
