The Ranger Shotgun has appeared on the Island, built for a much longer range than most Shotguns. This firearm operates on a single-shot mechanism, meaning players have to reload it after pulling the trigger every time.

However, many players are baffled about where to find the new Ranger Shotgun in Fortnite Chapter 3 exactly. With that in mind, here’s a comprehensive guide to finding this new ultimate shotgun.

How to get the Ranger Shotgun in Fortnite?

Similar to other Fortnite weapons, the Ranger Shotgun typically spawns on the ground at various random locations. Therefore, there’s no exact location where players can get it.

In addition to this, players can also grab it by opening chests and supply drops. A few NPCs also sell Ranger Shotgun in exchange for gold when it comes to other ways of acquiring it.

Fortnite guns are classified into different rarities, and the new Ranger Shotgun is no different. The developers have differentiated this new gun into five rarities. The Common (grey) variant boasts 117 damage per shot. In contrast, the Legendary (gold) variant of Ranger Shotgun deals up to 142 damage per bullet.

Although Ranger Shotgun deals decent damage, the extensive reload time and the small magazine capacity might frustrate players in crucial combats, especially when the opponent has an overshield.
