It allows you to change your lightsaber’s stats, so you may want to obtain it as soon as possible. Fortunately, it is located in the TIE Fighter Factory, which is one of the first levels.
In order to get the Rubat Power Crystal in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, you will need to reach a big room with TIE Fighters’ wings.
