Where to Find and How to Use the Ability Capsule in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The Ability Capsule is an item players can use to change between two of the Pokemon’s abilities. The patch can change the Pokemon’s ability from its first ability to its second one.

Unlike the Ability Patch, the Ability Capsule cannot switch the Pokemon’s first ability to the hidden ability. It can only switch from the first ability to the second ability, or vice versa.

The Ability Capsule can be obtained only when the game is complete. It is available as a reward after completing Tera Raid Battles. It is dropped from 6 Star Tera Raid Battles which only appear once players complete the Academy Ace Tournament. Once the tournament is complete, these raid battles will appear on the map.

The Ability Capsule is also available from Chansey Supply Store in Mesagoza, Cascarrafa, Levincia, and Montenevera. They cost 100,000, and only post-credits once the game is completed!
