A Lucky Egg boosts the experience points of whichever of your Pokemon is holding it. The Pokemon will receive a 50% boost of exp. points on top of what they already get through wild encounters of trainer battles. It does not count towards auto battles, however.

To get the Lucky Egg, you must defeat 5 Gym Leaders in any order you like. Next, travel to your next Gym and there you can meet up with your homeroom teacher Mr. Jacq. Mr Jacq will hand you a Lucky Egg!

To equip your Lucky Egg simply open your bag, and go to ‘Other Items’. Find the Lucky Egg and select it, choosing the option to give it to one of your Pokemon.
