Where to Hire a Character in Fortnite Chapter 3

Although Fortnite can be enjoyed solo, it’s even more fun and intense when you play with other groups of players.

Especially when playing ideal squad matches where you’ll often rely on your teammates to have your back. There’ll also be times when you’ll it’s you against every other player in the lobby.

However, it appears Epic Games has a solution to this. Players can now hire NPCs (Non Player Characters) that can be found all around the map and they will follow you across the island. Whichever NPC you hire will shoot at enemies whenever you start a firefight.

Some players might think of the feature as unnecessary but eventually in Chapter Three, Season One of the game you’ll need to hire a character because it’s required in order to complete one of The Foundation challenges.

So if you do decide to hire characters in Fortnite Chapter Three Season One, you must be wondering how long you can keep them. To get an NPC character, you simply need to have enough gold and interact with a character to hire them.

The option to recruit NPCs will appear at the bottom of your screen and they’ll start following you around after you complete the payment. However, you won’t be able to hire all of the characters on the map at once, since most of them won’t have the option.

Some of the NPCs will have a fixed spawn points on the map and others like Agent Jones will spawn at different locations in each match. Since they can also be close to looting areas, you’ll need to act quickly once you’ve hired them as other players may start shooting at you and you won’t have an NPC to defend you.
