In Baldur’s Gate 3, you can store your items in the Traveler’s Chest available at your camp. On that note, there are two ways of storing items in the game; the first option is to manually interact with the chest at your camp and store the things you don’t need during your travel.
Meanwhile, the second option is even better as every time you pick up an item; you can use the “Send to camp” option to directly store the item in the Traveler’s Chest at your camp, saving you a lot of time.

If you are having difficulty finding the storage box at your camp since the items there keep changing, you can press the left Alt button to highlight the nearby objects. Check the one that has a Storage label, interact with it, and store your items.
Apart from that, there are also other containers and boxes in your camp where you can store items. Albeit, we don’t recommend storing your items in those containers as you can lose them when you travel to a different location and then back to your camp.
In other words, the Traveler’s Chest is your best bet for storing items in Baldur’s Gate 3. Thankfully, you don’t have to upgrade it, nor will you run out of storage, as you can store an infinite amount of items without worrying about running out of storage.
