Since the game is available on many platforms, multiple platform owners find it hard to decide on which console they should buy Hogwarts Legacy. 

Which Console Should You Buy Hogwarts Legacy On?

While the answer to this question is obvious for many and highly depends on your personal preference, there are a few things about Hogwarts Legacy’s release that will help you make the decision—starting with the game’s release date.

Hogwarts Legacy will release on the current-gen platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC, on February 10, 2023, with Deluxe Edition owners getting early access on February 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, the game will release on last-gen platforms on April 4, 2023. And as for the Nintendo Switch release, it will happen on July 25, 2023. 

Apart from that, if you buy the game on PlayStation, you will get access to an additional quest called Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest. On top of that, PlayStation players who pre-order the game will get Felix Felicis potion recipe.

Sadly, there is no such bonus content offered on Nintendo and Xbox versions of Hogwarts Legacy. 

Apart from that, it almost nails down to your choice and what platform you prefer the most. If you want to play Hogwarts Legacy on the go, buy it on PC and play it on Steam Deck or buy the Nintendo Switch version. Though we prefer the PC one, as you can play both on PC and on your Deck with a single purchase.

If you want to play the game from the comfort of your couch on an Xbox or PlayStation, we recommend buying Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation as it comes with a few extra contents. 

Though since there is no multiplayer, if you don’t want the extra content and want just to enjoy the base game, you can buy it on either Xbox or PlayStation as you don’t have to worry about cross-platform play or such things.
