There’s a lot to like about Hogwarts Legacy, especially for those who get to play the game on current-gen gaming consoles, as they get to experience high detail in graphics and an overall good level of performance. But if you’re unsure which graphics mode to choose when playing the game, allow us to guide you.

All graphics modes in Hogwarts Legacy

Unlike a lot of games, Hogwarts Legacy offers up to five graphics options to choose from, and each of these options will have an impact on your experience. Below are the confirmed graphics options for Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S:

  • Fidelity Mode: A high-fidelity rendering mode that improves resolution and graphical quality;
  • Fidelity With Ray-Tracing: A higher-fidelity rendering mode featuring ray-tracing;
  • Performance: A high-framerate mode with increased performance;
  • Balanced: A rendering mode aiming for a balance between resolution, graphical quality, and performance. This graphics option will only work on supported monitors with VRR;
  • HFR Performance: An ultra-high framerate mode favoring maximum performance. Like the above, this will only work on supported monitors with VRR.

Ultimately, if you’re playing the game on a powerful PC or a current-gen gaming console such as Xbox Series X|S or PS5, then you can play on pretty much any graphics option of your choice. But if not, playing the game on Balanced graphics settings is advised.
