Which Killers are Best With Thanatophobia

Thanatophobia is a Perk that belongs to The Nurse, but she unlocks a Teachable Variant of it once she hits level 35. Here’s a quick refresher on what Thanatophobia does:

Their courage fades in the face of their undeniable mortality.
Each injured, dying, or hooked Survivor incurs a stack-able 4/4.5/5% penalty to all Survivors’ Repairing, Sabotaging, and Cleansing Action speeds, up to a maximum of 16/18/20%.
“She plays with us and revels in our pain.”

Now, here are a few Killers that we think this Perk synergizes the best with!

The Plague

Plague’s power has her vomiting infectious bile all over Survivors. Every time a Survivor is hit with the bile, their infection meter increases, and when it’s full, they become sick. A sick Survivor is immediately injured, and they’re afflicted with the Broken status effect.

Survivors can remove their sickness by finding Pools of Devotion that are randomly spawned around the map. Whenever a survivor cleanses themselves in a pool, it becomes corrupted, and The Plague can absorb the corruption to temporarily empower her Vile Purge. Because of this mechanic, many Survivors will often choose to not cleanse their sickness, which means that Thanatophobia eventually kicks in and brings their progress crawling to a halt.

The Legion

Legion’s power is Feral Slash and Feral Vault, granting them access to high mobility. With Feral Vault, Legion can chase down Survivors very easily, allowing them to land a Feral Slash on them. Attacking a Survivor with Feral Slash will inflict Deep Wound, which will eventually down them.

Legion’s mobility is such a huge threat to Survivors, a skilled Legion can easily keep the entire Survivor team wounded so that Thanatophobia is always active. This means that Survivors are pretty much forced to deal with Deep Wound and injuries, otherwise they won’t be able to make any progress.

Those are the two Killers we think that get the most out of Thanatophobia. Do you think it also fits well with another Killer? Let us know in the comments below!
