One of the playable characters in Fire Emblem Heroes is the caring and motherly Mikoto, whose character and background we will be talking about in this guide.

Who is Mikoto in Fire Emblem Heroes?

Mikoto is the biological mother of Corrin, stepmother of Ryoma, Hinoka, Takumi, and Sakura, as well as the adoptive mother of Azura, all of whom she loves dearly. Additionally, she is the biological grandmother of Kana.

At some point in the past, Mikoto became Sumeragi’s second wife after his first wife passed away and became his second queen consort. She ruled alongside her new husband for a while, but her marriage was sadly short-lived, and she then became the new Queen of Hoshido after Sumeragi’s unfortunate death at the hands of the King Garon of Nohr, after protecting Corrin from a barrage of arrows from Garon’s soldiers.

Mikoto is a kind and polite woman who cares immensely for her new people and is adored by the citizens in turn despite her unknown origins, and rules with the assistance of the first prince Ryoma. She is serviced by Orochi and Reina as her direct retainers, as well as Yukimura as her tactician. In the past, Kagero was one of her retainers, but she requested Kagero to pledge her services to Ryoma when he needed to find retainers.
